And that discipline infers restraint (YUK)!
- Restraining yourself from distractions.
- Restraining yourself from the temptation to work on a pet project.
- Restraining yourself from the urge to bail...and go for fun!
Let's reverse the perspective with YES: When you are clear about what you are saying YES to...NO is easy!
- YES to breaking my sales quotas...and getting a bonus!
- YES to launching a project.
- YES to knocking out this work so I can leave early.
So here is what I've found with my clients. They struggle with time management for one of two reasons.
1. Lack of Discipline
Simply the inability to practice restraint! Restraint is a learned discipline from indulgence. It's gorging on non-essentials.
2. Unclear YES
When clients have clear priorities and projects....it's EASY for them to practice good time management. They have clear YES's that make it easy for them to say NO to distractions.
Let me help you build a routine that makes it easy for you to say YES! Take a look at this!
